AI

You can add AI-powered features to your Glaze app without any setup required to make it happen. There are no API keys to configure and no infrastructure to build or maintain, simply describe what you want in plain language and the agent wires the AI into your app.

When a user interacts with any AI feature in an AI-powered app, the AI usage draws from their own Glaze credits, so the cost follows the person using the app, not the person who built it.

Add AI Features

Ask the agent in Agent Chat for an AI feature the way you'd ask for any other feature or change, and it builds it into your app:

• Text generation: Summaries, rewrites, drafts, answers, and other text an app produces on demand.
• Streaming responses: Text that appears as it's generated, so a reply fills in live instead of arriving all at once.
• Image understanding: An app that can read an image you give it, like describing a screenshot or pulling details out of a photo.
• Image generation: An app that creates images from a description.

You don't provide any keys or set up anything with model providers. The agent picks what an AI feature needs and builds it in, the same way it handles files, windows, and everything else your app does.

Permission Prompt

AI access is something each user grants individually per-app, not something an app turns on by itself. The first time an app tries to use AI, Glaze asks for permission with a prompt anchored over the app's window. It looks and behaves like the macOS prompts you already know, and it comes from Glaze rather than from anything the app's author built, so you can trust what it says.

You grant or deny it right there:

• Grant it and the app's AI features work from then on.
• Deny it and the app keeps running; the features that needed AI are simply unavailable.

If someone's credits run out while they're using an AI feature, Glaze shows the top-up flow for them so they can keep going.

Publishing an AI-Powered App

Apps that use Glaze AI can be published to the Public Store like any other app. On the Store, they display a Uses Glaze AI pill on their detail page, so people can see an app uses AI before they install it. See Store for what a listing shows and Publish Apps for how publishing works.

Review and Manage Access

Every app you've allowed to use AI is listed under Settings -> AI Access, where you can see each consented app's usage and daily cap, and you can revoke access at any time.
