# Members & Roles

You can manage team members in the team's tab in **Settings**, under the **Members** section. From there you can invite people, see who's joined, change roles, check current credit balances, and remove members. Inviting and managing members is available to a team's **owners** and **admins**.

## Inviting Members

1. **Open the team's Members section**: In **Settings**, choose your team in the sidebar and scroll to **Members**.
2. **Send an invitation**: Click **Invite**, enter the person's email address, and confirm. Glaze emails them an invitation to join the team, and you'll see a toast confirming it was sent.
3. **They accept and join**: The invitee opens the invitation and joins the team. If they don't yet have a Glaze account, they create one first then land in the team automatically.

Invited people appear in the members list right away with a clock icon next to their name while their invitation is still **pending**.

> [!NOTE]
> Invitations **expire after 7 days**. An expired invite shows a red clock icon labeled **Invitation expired**, and the person can no longer use the original email to join until you send a fresh invitation

### Pending and Expired Invitations

For any invitation that's still pending or has expired, owners and admins can:

- **Resend Invitation** to send a new email and reset the 7-day window.
- **Cancel Invite** to withdraw it. The person is removed from the list and can't join with that invitation.

Open these from the ellipsis menu or by right-clicking the row.

## Removing Members

To remove someone who has already joined, click the ellipsis menu next to the member and click **Remove Member**. They lose access to the team and its shared apps immediately. They can rejoin only if you invite them again.

> [!WARNING]
> The team **owner** can't be removed, and their role can't be changed. To step away from a team you don't own, use **Leave Team** in the **Danger Zone** of the team's settings.

## Roles

Every member has one of three roles:

- **Member** uses the team to build, share, and install apps, and can request a credit top-up when running low.
- **Admin** helps run the team day to day: inviting and removing people, changing roles, managing billing, and approving credit requests.
- **Owner** sets up the team and has full control, including deleting it. The owner is the one role that can't be removed or reassigned.

Owners and admins change someone's role from the row menu under **Change Role…**, switching between **Admin** and **Member**.

### What if the person I invite doesn't have a Glaze account?

They follow the invitation in their email, create an account, and join the team as part of signing up. The invitation is tied to the email you sent it to.

### Can someone be on more than one team?

Yes. A person can belong to several teams at once, each with its own role, and each appears as a separate tab in their Settings.

### How do I leave a team?

Open the team in Settings and use **Leave Team** in the Danger Zone. You'll lose access to the team's shared apps and can only return if you're invited again. Owners delete a team instead of leaving it.
